hai steve,

with a length of apr. 9 meters and a beam of 3 meters and a weight of 3700 kilos and the weight of the trailer i think your RR will die befor you reach the ferry....its better to have her shiped to spain or a travel with a loader (it's the best to buy a low loader truck and sell it after the boat is in spain) the price we have to pay to get a boat of that size from the netherlands in spain is about 2000 euro.....so for you it would be a lot more. get in contact with a transport company and ask them the price and in the same time look for a truck.....

by the way in the netherlands it's forbidden to transport a boat with a beam wider than 2.59 mtr and a total weight (boat and trailer) of more than 3500 kilo behind your car.......(i believe it's a europeen standard, but i'm not sure)

good luck, ed

And that's just the boat with no fuel or water on board. Figure on at least 1500 pounds more for the trailer - that whole rig will likely exceed 8000 pounds.

The RR might be able to pull it - until you encounter an incline. Pulling it, however, is the least of your concerns.

Stopping all of it is the real problem.

Many thanks to you all for your help. I think it will be the low loader option for me then it's someone else's problem to get it there safely.

Do any of you guys have the same boat and if so does anyone have an owners manual? the boat in question has twin 4.3 Mercruiser engines. We are pleased with the space on it and are looking forward to getting it this friday 18th June.
Regards
Steve
