Hey there fella hopefully you guys have the answer im looking for. Ok i had an old vhf radio on my 2000srl bow rider and it was huge so i got an opportunity to get a retevis RA27 vhf marine fixed mounted radio for a good deal. brand new never opened anyways as i was going to install it i looked at the tag and noticed it required 13.##V which my boat is 12 v dual battery, does that mean i cant install this radio and if i can what runs at 13. something volts ? i mean while running my alternator pumps out 13-14 while running but if i need to get a mayday call out chances are my motor isnt going to be running does that mean i wont have the radio to call? is there a way to connect this on a 12v system? Please help

Hi, i cant say for sure but 'd be extremely surprised if it didn't work. I would hook it up to a battery and test it.
Good luck
Let us know how it goes.

I agree with Steve in that it should work and a quick test would be to wire it to the battery before installing it to verify it works.
