Default Transponder Placement

I have an SR 2100. I am replacing the depth sounder and cannot find the proper placement for an in-hull transponder. Any ideas would be appreciated

Look for in hull transducer (not transponder)mounting. Here's a decent video:

He's got it a few inches above the keel and forward of the transom. You'll want to center between the lowest strake and the keel (don't mount it over a strake), and stay a few inches or more forward of the transom.
