Default Blower Direction should it blow or suck?

As the title says really I thought it was meant to blow clean air in to the engine bay but mines seems to be sucking the fumes out. which way is correct?
Thanks

Gaz,
What the blower (fan) should be doing is exhausting contaminated air from the space. By "sucking" the air out you are allowing fresh air to enter through the other openings to the space. If you were to blow air into the space you would effectively only take fresh air in where the fan draws from and pressurize the space which would allow the contaminated air to vent everywhere where there is an opening (possibly into the cockpit). This is standard procedure for venting any confined space Your fan is hooked up properly

it's kinda misleading for sure..but it's supposed to suck...get the low down fumes in the engine bay out of the engine bay and pumped overboard....
so..I guess it shoulda been called the sucker
make sure that there is a tube or vent tube from the blower down to the bottom of the bilge too...
