Default Maxum gelcoat color

Just officially bought the boat yesterday, and I'm about to wear you guys out.

I bought a '98 3700 SCR. The survey says she's more than sound, mechanically, but she's pretty rough cosmetically. I'm looking forward to returning her to her former glory. She has some minor gelcoat damage from an argument with a dock and I'd like to get it repaired. On one of my previous boats (a Yamaha jet boat), I used a kit like this from Spectum: https://www.iboats.com/shop/spectrum...epair-kit.html

My question is, did Maxum use the same gelcoat color as Searay and Bayliner durning that period? If so, I think this would work perfect.

Dream White was the official color name. You're probably going to need to do a color match.

Unless you are going to paint the entire boat a good fiberglass guy should be able to add pigment to the base gel coat to match the color due to any fading and blend the new into the old. It's amazing what a good glass guy can do.
