Default Cabin floor repair.

I have a 1999 28 sc that has taken floor damage from sitting up to long. Next to the cabin steps the floor decking has taken serious damage. Is there any assembly info for this series of boat. It is the area under the steps I am curious about and what other fixtures might need to be removed to assess if the water is from the access hatch or a different location. Any other sealing that is needed for a boat of this age?

Welcome aboard

Same basic structure as most boats. Stringers fiberglassed to hull and decking attached to the stringers. Some have reported rot due to A/C condensate or leaking shower sump.

If it's water damage you probably ave rain water coming in.. time to get a friend and a garden hose and see if you can isolate the leak. Is the boat in a slip or trailer? Is there water in either of the bilges?
