What type of engine /outdrive? Does the engine rev real high or does it bog down?

Do you have an Alpha or Bravo outdrive? What prop diameter and pitch? When did this problem begin and was any work done to it recently?

You need to provide more details to make it easier for us to help you.

dirty hull - water in gas - 12 people on aft lounge could be a culprit..

I have a 95 2400 with 5.7 A1 G2 and I can get on plane with 6 adults on board.
I am running a 14.5X17p prop. That is what was supplied when new.

Ok the prop is a 13 pitch. I don’t know the diameter. New jasper engine put 2019. 5.7 mercruiser. At the same time I had the outdrive (don’t know what kind of outdrive it is) gone through. It feels like its not getting all the power it did before I had all the work done. I am the only one on the boat any help is greatly appreciate.

What is the RPM's while trying to plane?
Max RPM for that engine is around 4600.
A 13pitch prop is way wrong, as I said my 95 2400 came with a 14.5X17p, and I have no problem getting to plane. It's not a hot rod speed wise, I think I have seen 35 to 38 mph at WOT.
I can hold plane ay 22mph (GPS) with out a problem with 6 adults on board.

I agree with Don that prop is way off. Can you post a picture of the drive and engine? As Don said you WOT should be 4400-4800 rpm, can you achieve this?

I have all the paperwork that came with my boat and according to what I have only the Alpha1 Gen2 drives where available on a 1995 2400.
So I am assuming that is what he has.

I agree Don but wanted to verify. My 1997 has the optional Bravo 2.
