Default Ablative Bottom Paint

So, not a first time boat owner but new to a boat that has come from the salt. Sort of a warmish day compared to the twenties we've had. Starting to clean swim planforms and the green algae off the waterline. As I'm brushing the algae stains,]I find the black bottom paint is coming off when I get the brush near it. So, internet search and voila. Ablative paint. So that's ok then. My question is can I just touch it up w the same type of bottom paint or do I need to consider doing the whole thing over. The rest of it looks ok underneath.

If there is no peeling and most of the bottom has thick enough paint for another season you should be able to just touch up those areas. You may want to check the bottom mid-season to verify it’s ok.

So the boat will now be on fresh water. I won’t need the bottom paint. Depending on cost I have some shops here on the shore that do dustless blasting. Anyone here ever try it? Don’t want to destroy gel coat.

So learned more about it. I guess it doesn't matter whether or not its salt or not. We are planning on leaving her in the water at a slip. Si I guess Ill leave the paint and have it freshened up. Any ideas what that might cost?
