Default Hot Water Tank Removal 4100SCB

I am in need of replacing my hot water heater. Is there a trick for accessing the back screw to remove the old one ??

Thanks in advance

When I replaced my heater in a 4600 I had to pry the screws loose. No other way of accessing. Just patch it up and enjoy the hot water.

DON'T FORGET to drain the water from the tank - first thing. You're not going to believe this, but I started to replace the HW heater without doing this first. UGH!!! 90 lbs of water in a sharp container is asking for trouble.

As said... I used a long pry bar to shear off the screws and filled the holes once the heater was removed and I could crawl in.
