Default Engine not turning over

Hi there
I'm new to the forum. Got my 3500 back in January. I have a problem with the starboard engine (8.1 Horizon). Initially seemed like dead battery so I replaced it. Boat ran great for a month. This weekend, went to start and I get a tone when ignition switch is on, but nothing when I turn it to the start position. Is there any kind of fuse or breaker for the starter? Any help appreciated!

should be a starter slave solenoid in circuit.
Usually mounted on top of engine.
They go intermittent and then starter does not get power.
Simple changeout.

welcome to the zoo....it really could be a few things..like bad ground...bad batt. connection....dead batt....go to the batt. selector switch and put it on both...then try to start the engine...might be something as simple as the charger isn't charging the batt.s properly...or ...at the starter there is a fusable link where the positive wire attaches to the starter....if there is a short from the alt. to the starter..that link can blow out.....also check the lanyard switch..sometimes that corrodes and won't allow the starter to engage..

It might just be a shifter slightly out of neutral. Cycle the shift lever into forward or reverse and back to neutral and see if it fixes it.

I have a similar problem on mine that I have not been able to figure it out... if the engine just does not start ever then is that fuse that is located in front of the selenoid by the starter.... on my end the issue i have is that my engine "sometimes" does not start... I have to rock the key 2 or more times and then it will start... i have not changed the key switch yet but i don't think that is the problem.... let me know if this is your issue... I have the same boat with 6.2's
