Default Where does everyone mount their electronics in their sport boat?

I've got a 2007 Maxum 2000SR3 and I just purchased a Garmin Echomap 50S with Airmar P79 shoot thru hull transducer. There is not alot of real estate on the dash so I was wondering what locations and methods everyone used to mount their electronics? I considered a RAM MOUNT on the windshield support rod but I think I'd rather have it hard mounted and I'm trying to get ideas from others on where they have mounted theirs. Post up a picture if you have one.

Brian... I have used both methods meaning where is this going to work for You!

I have a 3000 and have a depth finder and gps mounted on the dash in front of my light switchs. Works for me...

Just hold your garmin in your hand and move it around your dash and see where it fits the best. Yeah I know sounds simple, but what works for someone else might not work for you.

I am sure others will chime in with their opinion too.

Good luck and send us pictures.

Roger

I know where I would like to mount it but there is no flat surface there near the support pole. I was hoping to see some installs on some sport boats with the small dash space hoping for ideas. I'm sure others with the small cockpits on the 1700/1800/1900/2000 series boats have run into this and it would be interesting to see how creative people have gotten mounting electronics.
