2001 Maxum 2400SD

Not sure how but my user code for the keyless ignition got cleared out. I was able to find the factory over ride code, which did work, but looking to see if anyone knows how to program a new user code using the factory over ride code. I found the a guide in the Manual but it calls for entering the 4 digit user code as step 1, which has been cleared out.

From the Maxum manual:

User Code Re-programming Sequence
1.Enter 4 digit user code.
2.Press the 1 and 4 button simultaneously. The unlockLED will blink if the correct code was entered.
3.Enter a new 4 digit user code followed by thestart button.
4.Repeat step 3. The unlock LED will light steadilyand the system will be in accessory mode.
