Default Bimini installation

Planning to install a 6’ 3 bow Bimini to my 02 1900 sr. My question is where to install the front bow frame mounts. The windshield frame seems like a questionable location so I’m considering inastalling the mounts to the outside of windshield and about 3” below top of gunnel. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

I had never done this before, but it was pretty simple.

Is your bim height a 46 or 54 ? Can you walk through or have to stoop ?

36".... I thought the taller ones looked goofy on this boat. I'm 5'8, so I just fit under... If I had pulled the back polls back 1 or 2 inches, I would've had more clearance.

Install was pretty easy. I have the 54". My son and I are both over 6' so this works.
