Default Winter and I'm on my boat

So, its bitterly cold here in northern Florida...42 degrees. I've strolled down the dock to the boat, and I'm having a cocktail. I can see my breath!!!

We had a big storm pass through Seattle this week. 60 mph winds and all that. We weathered it just fine. Had to reset the lines on Meralee, but no big deal. Today, it's quiet and calm again: just in time for our second yacht club Xmas boat parade of the season to Coulon Beach Park in Renton.

Last week's boat parade was a big success (RYC had 20 boats present, and Argosy brought another dozen when they showed up for their serenade). There were a couple thousand people on shore and the park was lit up like ... well ... a really, really big Christmas tree. Fun event for all.

Any of you on south Lake Washington (I know there are a few of you here) who are interested should bring your boats by tonight. It may be a little chilly, but that's no excuse! RYC will be lining up off of Parkshore Marina in Rainier Beach around 6:30-ish. We'll be all lit up, so hard to miss.

Happy Holidays!

Also if anybody is coming out on their boat, RYC's fleet captain will be coordinating on Channel 69.

I'm looking forward to our next outing. New years eve downtown on the river. Unless we take it out sooner.

Also, we just bought tickets for monster jam in February. Going to go by boat and stay at the stadiums marina.
