How old are your caps? Did you do caps, plugs, and wires at the same time? I'm trying to determine a regular maintenance schedule for those items. I see some discoloration on the outside of my plugs. My lead wires check good for resistance though. Any experience you can provide on this is appreciated.

Jr .....the spring is usually the best time for tune-ups. It really depends on how many hours you put on your boat but If you have a lay-up season ( winter) it is better not to do the tune-up in the fall but wait until it comes out of storage in the spring.
