Wow, how did I miss this thread. I noticed you hadn't been posting much lately, Steve, so I was wondering what was up. We were actually dealing with a health issue with my son... 35 years old and had a seizure for the first time on July 9. Sent him to ER and eventually a Neurologist. They ran countless tests and still don't know the cause, but the good news is he hasn't had a seizure since (but he'll be on anti-seizure meds for some indefinite time).

I'm so sorry you have to be going through this. You've beaten the odds before, and I'm pulling for you to beat them again. I'm glad you have Marsha and your sister to support you, and it sounds like you have good Doctors. Keep the faith, we're not ready to release you from your obligation of posting on Maxum Owners Forum just yet....

Thinking about you Steve!

Just wanted to say that Steve hasn't been logged on since 8/9. I hope he is winning his fight!

I know he has some close friends that frequent the forums, so I hope we will get an update!

Terry

Lightbulb Let's show Steve how much we miss him

Earlier in this thread Steve listed a link to send him a card. I suggest every member of the MOC sends Steve a card as he fights his battle, to show him our thoughts are with him! Who's with me

I Visited Bayliner Owners Club Forum and here is a post from PugetMike, a friend of Steves.

"I talked to Marsha today and she said they are cutting back on some of the meds that made it difficult for Steve to read emails, posts, etc..
There are no guarantees that he will be able to respond, but Marsha will read them to him when the opportunity presents itself. He needs some encouraging words - that is for sure.

The pup is fighting hard, but it is pretty tough for both him and Marsha right now."

Let's all try to send a card to him. Here is the link https://www.virginiamason.org/PatientCard

SeaPuppy's real name is Harry Stephens and the room # is 960.

Sent him a card a few days ago. He truly deserves some better luck. Got to admire him for keeping his sense of humor though all of this.

Hi, all. We lost one of ours (and yours) this evening- Steve (Seappy):

http://www.baylinerownersclub.org/fo...ng-of-a-Friend

He was a beloved (and sometimes irritating ) member of the BOC- and of here, from what I understand. Please keep Marsha (Steve's wife) in your prayers and thoughts as she endures this tragic loss.

There really are no words to properly convey the tragic loss of someone like Steve. He really was, and will forever be in our minds, A Good Guy.

Our collective condolances to Marsha, and God speed to you Steve.

This is very sad news indeed. The boating community has lost of what I consider a truly great man. There are many famous contributors to the boating community, however most are motivated by financial or publicity gains. Those famed designers and mariners have aspirations of capitalizing on their achievements or contributions. It is incredibly rare to find someone who volunteers their time to help others for no other gain other than the personal reward of contributing to another's success.

Seapuppy spent thousands upon thousands of hours simply volunteering his time to help hundreds upon hundreds of people share in the enjoyment of the pasttime which he personally loved. I considered him a true friend and will mis him dearly. I only hope to aspire to be half the man that Seapuppy was.

My thoughts and prayers are with Seapuppy, Marsha, and their family and friends.

Fair Winds and Following Seas, Seapuppy.

Oh, man.... Just got back on here from long hiatus yesterday... SeaPuppy, you will be so very missed, your comments, help and humour were and are an inspiration. To Marsha and the rest of his family, God bless in this very difficult and trying time. My very deepest condolences.
