Default Wtf!?

Ok I've owned a few boats, but this one has given me the most WTF moments lol. 1997 Maxum 2700. On the side storage compartment looks to be a battery terminal for a windlass. My boat clearly has no windlass, but I could not find the second red in the engine hatch. Any ideas what this would be? Lord this boat is confusing me 😂

Send Whiskey please!!! Losing my mind.

Yes some pictures would help. This is 1997 and sounds like previous owners may have made modifications.

It's a 27 foot boat. There's 54 feet of "side".

Could you be more specific regarding the storage compartments location? Port, Stb, forward, aft?

I'm guessing might be referring to a bow or anchor locker with a thick "00" or larger positive cable. Some boats came pre-wired for a windlass even if one wasn't installed.

It would typically go back to a large (100 amp) fuse then to the battery if you're working backwards.
