Hi all, engine is a 2013 Mecruiser 5.0 MPI and it won't rev past 3000rpm, it's like it hit a rev limiter and then surges until i back off, and beeps twice. All gauges look good.
It sounds like it's starving for air and/or fuel. Remove and clean the flame arrestor, change the inline fuel filter, the fuel/water separator filter, and the rubber fuel lines. An hour's work and fifty bucks took my 5.0 from 33 mph @ 3300 rpm to 44 mph @ 4400 rpm.
If that doesn't do it, check your fuel rail pressure.
Won't rev past 3000rpm
