Default dropping a new motor

im going from a 5.0 to a 5.7 does the riser and manifolds from my 5.0 fit the new 5.7?
if so if the riser and manifolds fit and are in good shape is it a good idea to use them on the new motor?

Yes the exhaust components are the same. As far as is it a good idea depends on their condition, how old are they and have been used in salt water?

Yes they should be the same bolt pattern.
Since you’re dropping a chunk on a new motor, I’d recommend new manifold and risers if they are more than a couple years old. It’s cheap insurance to be sure you don’t hydrolock a brand new engine.

If your budget allows and you plan to keep the boat at least five years you may want to consider closed cooling. Comes either partial (engine only) or full (engine and exhaust manifolds). No salt water rusting these components and winterizing much easier as these components will always be protected by antifreeze.
