Default Cd stereo and Maxum 2000

Hello everyone! I want to put a stereo on a boat. But the steering column does not allow for it. Depth 6.5 cm. Please see if my steering column is mounted incorrectly? Show me how it's done on your boats?
Sorry for my English)

The steering rack and pinion looks mounted correctly to me. Are you replacing an existing stereo or was something else there before. Can you mount the stereo in the cabin and use a remote head at the helm?

If no other option you could replace the rack and pinion system with a rotary system but you would need to verify it fits and resolves the issue with the stereo.

I know you didn't ask, but if you are going to stream music from a device then you don't need a radio head unit. Take a look at bluetooth amps, they will give you more mounting options.

Earlier, a stereo system was installed. But it was disposed of. I would like to install the stereo exactly in its original place. I do not understand why Maxum made the steering rack at such an angle that it interferes with the installation of the stereo. Thanks for the rotary system idea.

Tell me which bluetooth amplifiers do you recommend?

Owners of Maxum 2000, who has the same system, take a picture of how your stereo and steering rack are installed?

This is the bluetooth amp I have in my boat. It comes with a controller but it is not really needed. https://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-11775...4524812&sr=8-3
You could use the controller to fill the space used for the head unit, or install something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Cigarette-Spl...525223&sr=8-31

Thanks!
I liked this amplifier.

I'm very interested in how the stereo is installed on other such boats. There are many photos on the Internet where there is a stereo in the same boat, I do not understand how it was installed.
