Hello, I'm from Villanova, Pa. just bought a 2001 Maxum 3700scr. I'm new to boating and will be keeping the boat in Edgewater, Md. We lost the Starboard engine bringing it down from East Hampton NY. So I'm little nervous and anxious. Anybody know a good Mercruser Mechanic and electrician in the area?

Being near Annapolis you have a ton to choose from. Oak Grove Marina on the South River used to good work last I heard.

Welcome. Greetings from the other side of the Bay. This is technically only our 2nd boating season, after 2 months of ownership of a 2008 2900 SE last August.

East Hampton to Edgewater MD and you lost an engine? Not for long I hope? Were you able to manage decent speed on one?

I had to shut down an engine (bad water pump) half way from Stafford / Beach Haven West NJ to Toms River last year ... not all that far of a trip ... and it ended up taking me quite a while at 7-8MPH. Different boat, but for me, one motor was not sufficient to plane so I ran it at ~2000 RPM if I recall.

Anyway - best of luck getting her going again and enjoy the season!
