Default New owner in SC

Good afternoon,
My name is Richard and I recently purchased my first Maxum vessel. She's a 2000 2400SCR and we love her already. Her name is Spontaneous II, which I'm not fond of, but the process to change the name and stay on Poseidon's good side is a bit more than I'm willing to do. So she'll remain Spontaneous II.
We live in Lexington SC and recently upgraded from a Keywest Sportsman. I wanted something that my family could enjoy the water along with me....so here we are. She has few small issues that I will probably need some assistance correcting, trim tab leaking, water in the power tilt reservoir, but other than that, not too bad. I look forward to getting to know others on here.

Richard

LOL. The renaming ceremony is a light-hearted joke. Obviously, it isn't necessary to follow the ceremony in order to rename the boat. I assume the root of your hesitance is either the involving of alcohol or religious reasons. Just pull the name and name it what you want.

If the root cause is religious reasons then consider this. You cannot both fear the repercussions of Poseidon and not believe in him at the same time.

I love this! Boating is an expensive hobby and I certainly don't want to add any unnecessary expenditures through not following SOP. For now Spontaneous II will work because my wife likes it. Happy wife..... It's our second boat and both were spontaneous decisions so it's fitting for her. Thanks for all of the warm welcomes!
