Default My first maxum

Hey gents, purchased my first maxum and am happy. I’ve only ever owned outboards before so new to the inboard and leg stuff. I’m here to learn as much as I can from you people in the know. I’m in Sydney Australia. Boat is 1900sr3 5 litre mpi 2004 model with 170 hours

Welcome aboard

That’s not many hours for a 14 year old boat. Have the bellows and Raw water impeller been replaced?

No sign of wear or over heating, they were done a few years back (so I was told) thanks for the response. Anything else I should be wary of? Like I said I’m new to stern drives

I recommend using an IR temp sensor and take reading of the t-stat housing and exhaust manifold/riser. These should all be no more than 160*F.

Are you boating in fresh or salt water?
