Default Finally!

After searching since August '20 and rejecting 4 boats prior we will be new owners of a 2001 Maxum 4100 SCA in 5 days. We are located in Seal Beach and the boat is in Alameda 377 NM's away. This will give us a great opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the boat during the 37 or so hour journey. While we are new members we have been lurking as guests for months siphoning ideas from many of you, thanks for that.

Congrats! Post some pics of your trip if you have the time. There was a fellow a few months ago who crossed the Gulf of Mexico from FL to Cancun then on to Honduras in a 2000 4100. Made for a good read.

There's a separate picture thread as well.

Best of luck!

Welcome aboard ... 4100 SCA owners, coming up on four years. Love the boat for cruising. Wish I was a bit more flexible so upkeep wasn't so hard

Default Update to post

Departed Alameda on Feb 10 after having all systems serviced, had overnight stops in South Beach, Monterey, Morro Bay (laid over 6 days due to weather), Santa Barbara and finally arrived home in Long Beach on Feb 19th. We kept engines steady @ 2800 rpm ranging from 11-14.5 knots, fuel burn was high because we were racing to fuel docks to avoid morning refuels. Boat performed flawlessly except for minor leaks in aft shower due to cracked caulking and a few porthole windows that I need to investigate. Pics/videos posted on Instagram: epiphany_motoryacht.
