OK two thinks, first I cannot spell surveyor :p , second salt does not mean death. My boat is a 1997 and has been in some level of salt it's entire life and is still in good shape running the factory...

Are the engines raw or fresh water cooled? What type of water do you plan to boat in, salt or fresh? Either way the engines saw 4 years of salt so I would not be worried about...
