Lock hatch from inside?

I’ve got a 2700SE.

Can the hatch be locked from the inside?

Can’t see any way of doing it. Is this prohibited or am I being stupid?

Thanks guys. I read the full manual and studied the wiring diagram and that answered all my questions. I need to figure out some wiring issues now but I’ll post a new thread for that.

I’ve got the Victron Blue 10a controller.

I’ve since been advised that it’s best to connect the controller directly to the battery so I think I’ll do that.

Yeah that makes sense as it’s a portable generator. There’s no earth. I assume that running the generator in this way will not harm the electrical components?

I’m running on 240v electrics (British) so that would make it a 3000w draw from the water heater, using the same formula. That seems very high to me. Can that be right?

Thanks guys, really appreciate the advice. You’ve both answered my questions so happy to go with that. I reckon I’ll always be in a power deficit with the solar but I’ll only ever be away from shore...

Yeah but I’d like something that I can leave switched on below whilst I’m on the upper deck. I wouldn’t want anything with direct heat like that.
