gear shift troubleshooting
what do you think this may be?
i went to take the boat out to day for a test run.has its not been out for a long time now.
1,when i put in gear the engine will stop. if i try to rev it.so what i did to get out of that was to cut the cutout wire to stop that.(the one that stops you starting it in gear)
2,then.when i run the engine the drive unit will shift into gear but very hard
to get back out.and you can ear the clutch dog (i think grinding when you put it in to gear).
at the start of the day it was shifting ok just cutting out when you start to pull off.
3, it will shift ok with the engine off :?
