Default 4600 swimstep staple rails

One thing i want to do with my soon to be boat is fish from the cockpit. The space is a little tight, especially if casting and there is a deck above my head, so someone suggesting utilizing the swim step and put staple shaped rails there. I think its a great idea and I'd want the kind that I can remove.

he thought the price would be about $2500.
I'm a do it yourself guy and I know someone local that can bend the rails and cut them however I need. What I don't know is the mounting. I don't want to just cut into the swimstep to place the mounts and not know what I'm cutting into.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

It would be just like this one:

Edit:

I thought you were pointing me to the swim handles but I see the U style in their photo. Thanks, I will look into this.

I'm just curious aboiut the swimstep itself. Is it thick and only just fiberglass? thin? I'd have to possibly cut a 2-3inch hole for the pole to sit in.

I have yet to mount my handles, mine are the "P" style.
It calls for an 1 5/8" hole.
Where they mount is thicker than the center portion of the platform.
Love the platform so far.
They are very good to work with. (swimplatforms.com)
