Need advice on Lake Powell

In 6 days my wife and i depart Antelope Marina in Lake Powell in a 50' house boat. Any advice on best destinations to beach the houseboat and places to avoid would be appreciated.

I've always loved Dungeon Canyon. But, its been a few years since I've been on Powell. Depends on how much fuel you want to spend.

No matter what, be anchored and secure before 3pm each day. The wind comes up almost every afternoon between 3 and 4. With a houseboat that size, you are at the mercy of the wind, and the results can be disastrous.

Dungeon is too exposed for my liking. You get a lot of wave action in there. But I do like it's proximity to Dangling Rope and some cool canyons to explore and hike.
