Default Confirming steering cable to order.

2000 maxum 1800sr rack steering.

I'm about to order a new steering cable. Ive measured my cable, just the sheethed part. It came out to roughly 12ft. I added 30" then rounded up and came out with 15ft. Does this sound correct? Now I need to order exactly what I need, I see that teleflex is now called seastar. Can you guys point me to reliable dealer that I can call and talk with.

Looking at the rack box I see the number 3950210, this gives me no results on Google, i also can't find the part number on the sheath anywhere.
