What a fantastic set up Glenn!

I can remember in my trailering days of going to Lake of the Ozarks and Norfolk Lake and having those beautiful covered slips to use. We got rained out from an afternoon of boating so we just grabbed the fishing poles and had a great time underneath dock .

The boss and I have a 2001 3000 SCR and best boat I have ever owned. Docks up here are open except for the real $$$$$ slips and out of our budget. Have fun with yours....

Roger

Hi there boaty people
My family and I have been boating mainly on the south coast of England for a few years in a sports rib .
My lovely wife suggested that if she was to carry on I would have to buy a bigger boat with a cabin so that she didn't get so wet and cold whilst out on the wet stuff. So after much research and a much lighter wallet we are the proud owners of a maxum 2400 se .
Can't wait for the warmer weather to have some fun in her ,the boat not the wife !!! Great club by the way.

Hello all. I just came across this site while doing a search for parts for my boat. I figured I had to joing. I purchased a 2006 2400SE 2 years ago from the original owners who were going thru a divorce in South Carolina, and barely used the boat at all. It still had covers on the seats. I used it for the rest of that summer getting acquainted, spending a few weekends on it and had a canvas surround stitched up for it, and then put it in storage while I deployed to Afghanistan all of last year. I'm currently an active duty Navy Chief who's ready to retire in April after 24 years. Now I'm getting antsy to go boating when the season starts again in April. I recently purchased an extended platform and can't wait to put it on. Well hello everyone. Doug

Hi @ all from Germany.
Found your club by searching for some information about Maxum and its models.
Just bought a '93 19ft Maxum from first owner. Very nice boat with few hours on its 4.3 Mercruiser. I just love american engines
Looking forward to drive it first time in may but have to do lot of cosmetics. Engine and stern drive should be fine.
Anyone know sites to buy decals and logos like original black/blue "M A X U M" letters on hull ... ?
Does anyone know what model name 'SSL' stands for?
Greetz,
Peter

welcome to the zoo 0815.....try greatlakesskipper.com for lettering...I think they still carry them....also check your local bayliner dealer (if you have one locally) as they can still get alot of that stuff for your boat...

Hey, that's pretty fast.
Thanks for your reply seapuppy. I really found the letters at greatlakesskipper!
Now I just have to measure for correct size. Hope they send to Germany ...
When my little jewel is ready, or at least prettier than now, I will post some pictures.
Thanks. Nice Forum

what means SSL ?!

Hey Brian and Vicki.....welcome to this great website.

Here in they midwest mother nature is teasing us with 70 degree weather all this week. I think I might start waxing the hull. Maybe time to get the shrink wrap off and get serious:-)

Hello all. We are Maxum newbies Ryan and Tracie. We just purchased a beautiful 1999 Maxum 2800 SCR and are excited to hit the Chesapeake this year. Thank you in advance to all that may help me out with questions that I have. We will be boating in the northern Chesapeake area of Maryland.

Just joined the Maxum and boating world. My name is Trent. Bought a 1999 1800 SR, a couple weeks ago. Live in the Provo, UT area. Today was a pretty nice day, took her out on the first voyage on Utah Lake. I have some questions but will post them on a seperate thread.

Welcome aboard Ryan and Tracie, congrats on the new purchase. Becky and I did our first year of boating on the Bay, out of the South River. Sure do miss the smell of salt water!
