Default grab rail size

OK guys (or gals) help me out here. I am ordering a barbeque for my 2400 SCR (yr 2000) and just realized to get a mount for it I need to know the diameter of the grab rail. And my boat is 3.5 hours from home, sitting in dry storage at lake powell. The grab rail I am mounting to is just forward of the exit door on the port side. Thanks.

I think that rail is 1" dia.......I had a 2k bayliner 2455...basically the same boat and that's what mine was..so...assuming ..similar boat...etc..all that stuff...should be the same size...

and welcome to the zoo......

lake powell...thinking of retiring that way in 7 yrs...one of many places on the short list...

Thanks for the reply seapuppy. when I was at the lake and looked at it I assumed 1" but didnt have a measuring tape, When I saw the choices on the web site were 7/8 to 1" or 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 I started having some doubts. thanks for your quick reply.

On my 95 2300SC (older) I have the 7/8" rail and picked a new/used (never used) BBQ and it came with the 1" rail mount. I am willing to sell for cheap as I must buy the correct mount (or machine a new one).

Let me know. I'm assuming you are getting a Magma kettle grill?

Thanks Mad Max but I ordered the grill and mount last night. So at this point I hope it fits. Yes I went with the new and improved kettle style, I ordered the 14.5 dia. When i ordered the mount they show the smaller one fitting 7/8 to 1". I should recieve everthing friday, and head to the lake next tuesday evening. looking forward to 4 days on the lake. Thanks again
