He may have an arch with a fold down light that is hard wired.

OK. A "Pole Light" is one which is removable and inserts into a socket. A hardwired all around light on a post is not a "Pole Light". They are two different things. If it's hardwired it is on a post, and not a Pole Light.

Using a volt meter, I would start with the light. Remove the crimp connections at the light and test to make sure the circuit itself is good. IF not, work your way toward the panel. If it is, replace the light.

Your right. It is a post type , that can be lowered by loosening the threaded knob. Iíll check out your suggestion . Thanks

Yes. That is what We have. It is a 1997 Maxim 2700 MT. With a 5.7.
