I know I am old but I remember the drive slipping into reverse.
Like I say I am getting old and I may be mistaken.
But yes I am only removing the lower gear case, so I will ck and see what...

I know what the Mercruiser manual says, but why cant you remove ane reinstall it in reverse?
Its a royal BPITB to try and keep it in foreward when it wants to slip into reverse by its self.
