The boat only difference is the Alpha requires a shift interrupt unit and the Bravo doesn’t. Do you still have the ICM from the original engine?

Remove the fuel filter spin on canister and pour...

Remove the fuel filter spin on canister and pour the contents into a glass jar then look for sediment or water in it.
