Increasing pitch will result in lower rpm and top speed. You need to decrease pitch. Don’t recall what drive you have.

Has the boat been stored in the water? If so the bottom may have marine growth.

I'm assuming it has a Bravo 3 drive; have you looked at the props for damage?
