A bilge pump float is directly wired to the battery and the manual side goes through the helm switch.

The shower pump should be on a switch only. There may be another fuse or breaker else where.

What boat do you have?

Most have a switch in the head, should be a red rocker switch just like the fresh water one in the galley.
