While I agree it would not make cost sense your comparison is 600 HP vs 425 HP. You would need to keep the boat for a rather long time to get the enjoyment pleasure out of it.

Seems like the bracket would need to extend pretty far back so the outboard would clear the swim platform including when tilted. This would then require the transom to be reinforced to support all...
