Wow - I just learned something new today. I wasn't aware of a "step hull" boat prior to visiting the googles just now. So, no - my boat is not a step hull boat. My data point is now irrelevent.

New owner (but not new to boating), 1999 Maxum 2300 SC. Engine 350 MAG MPI. Engine is fairly new - less than 100 hours (guessing), was replaced last year by the previous owner.
