I just measured and there is actually only 4"...

I just measured and there is actually only 4" play at the wheel and less than that when I move the outdrive. So I suppose I m just too much of an old pontoon. Thanks

I have about 8 inches of play on the steering wheel of my '97 2000sc, is that contributing to the wandering I get when going under 5 knots ? Is that something I could fix or do I need to take it to...

I just went from a 115 hp pontoon boat to a 97 maxum 2000sr. Whenever I go slow, as in no wake zones, the boat fish tails left and right so I'm constantly correcting course. Not something my pontoon...

Loud exhaust system

So here are pictures that could help. Seems that there are units installed on top of the exhaust manifold and then a rubber hose that takes the exhaust out the back. The unit on the left side...

I have a 4 barrel carb. I have not run the engine with the air filter cover off to watch the fuel spray - is it OK to do that, or is there a possibility of backfires?...
