Default Water Separating Fuel Filter

Looking high and low for something I believe does not exist. My 2003 SR1750, carb version, does not seem to have a filtering system that uses a water separating filter. Should I look into updating this boat with something new or is the filter in the carb going to serve me well in this age of Ethanol based fuels? Suggestions.....

Maxum owner, 2003 SR1750, love taking this easy to own, tow, store boat to as many different places as possible. Family really loves Kerr Lake and places where jellies don't exist.
