Replacement Throttle Controller - 1999 2300 SC
Hi all. I've taken delivery of my first boat - a 1999 Maxum 2300 SC with a 5.0V8 mercruiser and Alpha one drive 2nd Gen. Looking forward to getting her on the water here in the UK but have a couple of things to sort first. The throttle neutral button is intermittent at best and forward movement of the throttle is pretty stiff. Also the trim button doesn't seem to be working.
It looks like the original controller and I'd like to update it. The only controllers I seem to be able to find seem to be for outboards. Is there a logical replacement model available? I'm guessing i'll also need to change the throttle and shift cables as they are gen 1 and i guess unlikely to fit later model throttle controllers.
The trim button can be bypassed so I know the motor is working.
