Mercruiser power trim/tilt leakage

I have a 2001 Maxum 2500 SCR that has developed an oil leak apparently from
the trim/tilt control. I checked the steel lines that go into the pump and they are tight. I was researching on line and read where other owners have experienced a problem with the plastic reservoir leaking.

Has anyone experienced this problem and if so how did you correct it?

Any advice or information would be appreciated.
