Default Maxum Newbs

My name is Steve. My wife Jennifer and I recently purchased a 2000 Maxum 3700 SCR! It is our first boat we’ve ever owned. The boat is in very good shape given its age. So far we have taken our daughter and family members out for a couple rides on the Mississippi in St Louis, MO.

Also I am very fortunate to have a friend who has owned a 4100 SCR for 11 years give me a 5hr run through my entire boat before using.

Really excited to join this group as I figure all the ins and outs of our new boat over time. Already replacing old parts here and there with new.

Nice boat!
Also good to hear you had someone to walk you thru it.
Please consider taking a boating class as well, since that’s you’re first boat.

SummerBreak here, AKA the First Mate of Darr Aboard! Excited to be part of the boating world and this forum. I am in the process of taking a boating class and want to learn as much as possible. Any information for newbies is much appreciated.

Welcome Aboard Diggity and SummerBreak!!!!

A 37 as a first boat. That is aggressive, but certainly doable.
