it could mean alot of things but first thing that...

it could mean alot of things but first thing that comes to mind is the bull gears are gone.....take the boat out of the water.....look at the top of your drive unit...there is a cap with 4 silver...

are you talking about the clunk or chunk when it goes into gear??..that's normal....if it grinds and sounds like sand grinding away...that's not good...you see...there is no clutch for you to engage...
