shrew the 120 volt one will work just fine in putting them in the old rectangle lights, that is what I used and what I did.

The wiring is Positive & nutural for power light...

I had the same problem and just took them apart...
I had the same problem and just took them apart and installed 120 volt leds in each one, works now but not as bright as I wood like.
West marine is where i got mine.
