Well, wouldn't you know, as I take the panel off to get at the alarm to replace it with the new one, and darned if the previous owner didn't have it taped up! :evil:

No wonder I couldn't hear it. ...

My helm mounted audio alarm (high temp/low pressure/low drive oil) is on its last leg. The alarm is barely audible when I turn on the key, and no doubt I would not be able to hear it with the engine...
