I would have never thought of the battery charger...

I would have never thought of the battery charger until buying our bigger boat and that being a necessity. I personally think the 100+ bucks you would spend on a installed 2 bank battery charger...

and if your boat doesn't have an on board charger I would recommend putting her on a trickle if your not going to use her for a week or more. Just a good idea to keep them fresh and save some life....
