Lightbulb Best starting procedure for Maxum 2500 SCR Mercruiser 5.0

Hi all,

Has anyone got down the best Starting procedure for these boats/engines?

Been told to pump throttle 3 times in neutral, then push the throttle to quarter position and crack the **** out...
