There are several factors that will influance the fuel consumption of your boat. The same boat, owned by different people will get slightly different GPH averages. A lot of this is boat handling,...

Re: Bottom repair while in the water.

You are probably best to have the boat pulled so you can inspect the bottom. If there is more than one spot of damage you dont want to miss any. Plus you will be able to sand the bottom in the area...

Re: poor idle on 4.3L 190 HP

I had break down the E-10 w/ a lot of separation, combined with a small water leak around the fuel cap from a bad rubber seal. Completely gummed up the jets! I agree with the last poster about the...

Re: SR3 Exhaust Manifolds cracked! Is repair possible?

What everyone else said! Make sure that you have the engine scoped by a mechanic. If you cracked the manifolds I would expect that there might be other damage. Don't learn the hard way twice. The...

Re: Newbie - Hi and after help

LOA vs. LWL most likely.

Most modern boats are advertised as Length at Water Line (LWL) not Length Over All (LOA).

My 2800 is 28' LWL but 29'9" LOA from swim platform to bow pulpit.

Re: A/C problems

Sorry it took so long to get back to you! We took a cruise down the bay to Virgina Beach for two weeks.

I can think of three causes for your problem off hand.

Re: Fire extinguisher location

Remember to install it horizontally and not vertical so the chem does not clump. The rocking of the boat keeps it moving inside.

Re: Outdrive nightmare and prop pitch question
